LOL Just the sort of response I expected from ignorant pvpers. Before we go on we need to decide on a rough number of people who play GW. So we can see how truly small a section pvpers really are. Anet announced 2 million copies sold in June. Now with the release of Nightfall, I would think that’s a lot closer to 3 million. Now I know this is for three chapters and some people have more then 1 account. So let’s say there are 500,000 players in GW.
So the World Championships is supposed to prove that pvp is the be all and end all of GW is it. Hmm well since there where are a grand total of 48 people competing in it. That’s less than 0.001% of the playing population. Wow such a HUGE section of the playing base. Anet would go bankrupt the next day if they left.
Ok now I know that was the finals and more people than that competed. But even if we include the top 100 no lets be generous and say the top 200 guilds in GW and let’s further say that they all have 100 people in. That’s 20,000 people, a whole 4% of the playing population. Still nowhere near the half as has been claimed. Even if we where to go as far as the top 1000 guilds (and as before say their all full which is most unlikely) which probably includes most if not all of the people who regularly play pvp let alone the hard core ones. That’s still ONLY 20% percent of the playing base, a long way from over half.
Anet is in business to make money. Now which do you think would make them the most money. pvpers who are a LARGE minority as shown in the previous paragraph. Or the other 80% percent of GW who either don't pvp at all or don't care if it’s there or not. Most people would say the later, but if you need an example of what happens if you listen to a vast minority of players, just look at what happened to Star Wars Galaxies when it did just that. It lost over three-quarters of its players.
If I could get rid of 90% of the people who did all most nothing but moan and complain all the time (i.e. pvpers) at the cost of only 20% of my revenue. I would do it in an instant. I'm sure Anet would too. But why not just separate pvp from PVE and then they can still keep most of them. When I said in the pvp version of the game there would be no need to unlock anything I was referring to the current pvp packs you can get that unlock all the skills for what ever profession you wanted. With a pvp only edition of the game there would be no point in haveing any of skills locked. They could get rid of balth faction or use it to unlock new armour and weapon skins. They could include more stats which you pvp types seem to like. Like how many of each profession you killed and other stuff like that. Then when the nerf cries erupt as they all ways do. It’s ONLY the pvp game that’s gets nerfed not the PVE one as well. It’s been a long time since PVE had any influence over pvp and the opposite should be true too.
The only ignorant people are here are those pvpers who think their little part of the game is the be all and end all. When in fact it’s never has been, is not and most likely never will be.

I don't want this to become a pvp vs pve thread. It would be cool if Anet would throw in some statistics so we can leave this discussion behind.

Ability to control a pet like the heros. (The fight/guard/advoid & waypoint controls.)
Oh, oh, oh..!
No wait, I want the event hats (Wicked hat, pumpkin etc...) wearable over normal headgear and not to remove the hair from the model...
You'd see people wearing them in explorable areas and stuff alot more if they just go over the top of your normal headpiece without having to take a decent piece of headgear off.
This makes sense to me, would be a good thing to implement...

anyway, Id just undo the AI changes and certain recent skill changes. Im not for or against it, I just want to farm Vermin and Shiroken like before. Yes, those were the only things I farmed. No matter how much they change/improve Pve I still won't really want to do it so making it more "challenging" doesn't really appeal to me.

Ooo, there's a few things on my mind atm.
1) 7 hero slots. (They're just too cool for only 3)
2) Hair/Facial makeover, if you get a new chapter, you should be able to use those faces for old characters too.
3) Make more "Gates of Madness" like missions! (I guess I'm evil and like to see people squirm )
4) Give us an Elonian Elephant pet !!!

1- Party forming system.
2- Auction Houses.
3- Adding ultimate uber weapons (rare & unique) that can be used only in PvE.
4- Add different types of glowing auras for certain skins of weapons.
5- Add special emotes or ground symbol beneath players (if you played with heroes in warcraft 3 you will know what i mean) that shows when you maximize title.
6- increase the release span between chapters.

You my friend, are exactly spot on.

I'll make a few changes/additions in some things:
Storage:
- First of all... minor, major and superior runes for bags, giving +5, +10 & +15. (this will make bags able to hold 20 items maximium)
- Second, not really neccesary if the first point is done... 2 o 3 kinds of belt bounch with more slots.
- And the most important change is about the xunlai: My idea is to make a general account storage and a new tab, character storage, so each character will have 25 slots to keep in the xunlai whatever they want without need of moving items from character to character or have 'storage characters'. Also optional can be a dye tab, but i'm really sure that they already have thought about it and we may see it... maybe in christmas
I really think the idea of account storage-character storage is good and very usefull... after 3 chapters there are so many armors... so many weapons... we need more storage :B
Traders:
Allow you to directly set the amount of runes/dyes/crafting materials you want to buy/sell, the ask-buy system is just heavy... slow... i know thay price may change when you are buying/selling but i'm sure that maths can help and just apply the possible change to your buy/sell transaction.
Also... give the armorers more play... let them sell inscriptions (of course needs that someone sells them before ), i know there can be a problem with all those inscriptions that have variables (+15^50... +12^50...), but also here... maths can help and apply some kind of devaluation to the price of the higher rated item.
Guild hall:
- npc's: They are great... but there is one... skill trainer, that only sells you unlocked core skills... this makes him some kind of 'capture signet' seller, because it's easier to travel kaineng, lions arch or kamadan if you need some skill... So... change it so it sells any skill you have unlocked (no elites of course xD). Also it will be interesting to add a profession changer as guild hall npc.
- Respect to visiting guild halls before buying it... this can be very interesting... when you visit a guild hall in preview mode (you are just taking a look to the hall) include all npc's (traders) in your base, to see how are they distributed (they won't work, some kind of message 'i only serve the guild who owns this hall') and include all conditions and the other team npc's, just to see how it will be in battle (they don't have to be hostile to you), with this you have the information you need to know if that guild hall is really interesting.
Hero system:
Actually hero's work really great, the problem is items... i think that the 'j' system of pvp can be applied to pve just for heros, they will have full functionality, good weapons, runes...
And that's all... of course are my suggestions, but i really think they are quite interesting and can really make the game better.

i'd replace the bright guy who decided that the AI bahaviour needed to be changed because it only opened a can of worms and did more damage to the game than anything ever since release has.

as GW refuses to have a proper trade system I would add being able to Link items in chat so interested people could left click the item to see stats!!!
WoW really does have some good idea's GW could learn from
